Maniacal Monday: Who Said It?

How many of you knew that yesterday’s quote was from Sylvia Plath? I went with my wife a few years back and saw Gweneth Paltrow play her in that movie Sylvia, andI swear if I’d had had a razor in that theater I would have done myself in. Before then I had no idea what kind of crappy stuff she’d had going on with her. So super depressing.

Anyways, try to guess who this maniacal Monday quote is from. But seriously, figure it out quick because this crazy dude has me strapped with C4 that is set to go off unless someone answers this quote.

“Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life. I’m not gonna hurt ya. I’m just going to bash your brains in.”

    • When I read that book for the first time I thought I was going to pee my pants, like, every three pages. I mean, come on! I house comes to him in the form of a fricken ghost butler that convinces the guy to kill his wife? How twisted is that? And did you know that book was partially inspired by a vacation that King took with his wife? Spooky stuff, man.

      • That must have been some vacation.

I love it when a book comes to life like that, like when it’s terrifying or hilarious, and you almost can’t turn the page because you’re afraid or you’re laughing too hard. I ruined The Hunger Games for myself because I was so nervous the whole time that I kept peeking ahead to see what would happen. I mean, it’s not great literature, but it was definitely intense. And when I read Naked by David Sedaris, I was just crying at points because it was just so funny. That is the best.

      • Oh, Lord, how funny is David Sedaris? Has that guy ever done anything that’s *not* funny? And how the hell is his sister so funny too? Did you ever watch Strangers With Candy? Creepiest funniness ever.
